Here are a few of our ongoing projects that we are currently working on alongside with our partners that are listed below.
Operation Smile
Operation Smile is a global medical nonprofit organization that provides free surgeries for children around the world born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities. Every three minutes a child is born with a cleft lip or cleft palate – and many families can’t afford the surgery they desperately need. In many places, children with cleft conditions are abandoned or abused. Many times they have trouble eating and drinking and can struggle to survive. Those that do can face a lifetime of shame and torment. For as little as $240 and in as few as 45 minutes, Operation Smile can provide life-changing surgery – and renewed hope – for children around the world. Project | Feed the Homeless
Kids 4 Smiles will be working together with a local non-profit, The Common Hearts Foundation, to help feed the homeless in the DFW areas. Once a month a group of volunteers get together to prepare and cook meals to serve around 125-150 homeless individuals in downtown Dallas. Our World Changers will help with fundraising efforts along with volunteering in hope to raise awareness and be a voice for these people.

Project | Backpack Program
Kids 4 Smiles is partnering with Vanessa Gavalya, Dallas photographer, to raise funds for much needed school supplies and backpacks in time for the start of school. We will distribute backpacks and other school items on August 4th, so please donate now and be a positive change for these Dallas kids.
You’re invited to have your portrait made in exchange for a donation. If you can’t attend the shoot on July 8, please consider making a donation anyway. The kids thank you!

Project | Puerto Rico
Kids 4 Smiles was formed in the fall of 2017 to help Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. We had many challenges trying to figure out logistics due to limited resources and shipment of cargoes onto the island. In June 2018, we made a trip to Puerto Rico and worked with a local nonprofit Puerto Rico Lit and its founder, Erika Velez. Together we helped four families who were affected by Hurricane Maria with purchases of many needed household appliances such refrigerators and washing machines.

Project | Guatemala
In 2018, a deadly volcano eruption disrupted the lives of thousands of Guatemalans that lived in the outskirts of the volcano. People suffered severe burns, lost all their belongings and were displaced. KIDS4SMILES was able to fundraise almost more than $5,000 that provided for medical equipment needed to care for children who were burn victims of the volcanic eruption. We partnered with FUNDAORTO, a non-profit based in Guatemala, who assisted in the purchase of the equipment required.
After the volcano crisis, we realized that there was more work to be done. Guatemala is a small third-World country that has limited medical resources, high incidences of malnutrition, diseases, and other medical and dental needs. We will work hard to continue the work we started after the volcano crisis, and we will extend the help to cover other needs.
